HOW TO GET THE MOST OUT OF TOASTMASTERS


TOASTMASTERS RECOGNITION SYSTEM


Toastmasters International's educational system features both a communication track and a leadership track. This provides members with opportunities for communication and leadership training and recognition for leadership achievements.

Competent Communicator Award (CC)

  • completion of all ten speeches in the Communication and Leadership manual.

The criteria for the other awards are listed below:


The Communication Track

Advanced Communicator Bronze (AC-B)

  • Achieved Competent Communicator (CC) Award
  • Completed two Advanced Communication and Leadership Program manuals. (Each manual is designed to help improve one specific area of speaking. See below for a list of available Advanced Manuals.

Advanced Communicator Silver (AC-S)

  • Achieved Advanced Toastmaster Bronze (ATM-B)
  • Completed two additional advanced manuals (may not be those completed for the AC-Bronze award)
  • Conducted two programs from the Better Speaker Series and/or The Successful Club Series

Advanced Communicator Gold (AC -G)

  • Achieved Advanced Communicator Silver (AC-S)
  • Completed two additional advanced manuals (may not be those completed for the AC-Bronze or AC-Silver awards)
  • Conducted a registered Success/Leadership Program, Success Communication Program or a registered Youth Leadership Program
  • Coached a new member with the first three project speeches

The Leadership Track

Competent Leader (CL)

  • Achieved Competent Communicator (CC) Award
  • Completed Competent Leader (CL) Manual

Advanced Leader-Bronze (AL-B)

  • Achieved Competent Communicator (CC) Award
  • Achieved Competent Leader (CL) Award
  • Served at least six months as a Club officer and participated in the preparation of a Club Success Plan
  • While a Club officer, participated in a district sponsored club officer training program
  • Conducted any two programs from the Successful Club Series

Advanced Leader-Silver (AL-S)

  • Achieved Advanced Leader-Bronze (AL-B) award
  • Served a complete term as a District officer
  • Completed the High Performance Leadership Program
  • Served successfully as a Club sponsor, mentor or specialist

Distinguished Toastmaster (DTM)

  • Achieved Advanced Communicator Gold (AC-G)
  • Achieved Advanced Leader-Silver Award (AL-S)
